A Comparison of 1-D S-wave Velocity Profile Resulting from Microtremor Array Method and Lithology Profile from Borehole Data in Jakarta

Abstract The subsurface investigation is very important in seismic hazard assessment for the city scale because it greatly affects propagation of waves on surface related to amplification phenomenon caused by thickness and hardness sediment. Local geology geotechnical conditions analysis are represented site class which determined based value Vs30 or NSPT30, besides that also necessary know depth bedrock. In general, availability these data cities Indonesia limited, so conduct a field survey one methods using microtremor array method. This paper has presented results investigations Kembangan Jakarta method their comparison with borehole was carried out at adjacent locations. those show positive correlation between 1-D shear wave velocity profile lithology where top layer low S-wave (Vs) correlated soft rock. increases hard rock indicated as sandstone. this study useful applying other considering simple operation.
